SGF Financial Programs

Shady Grove Fertility offers several financial programs designed to make fertility care more accessible. A Financial Educator is available to help identify which option fits best — and for most patients, there's a path forward.

Shared Risk 100% Refund Program

For patients who want the security of a guaranteed outcome, the Shared Risk 100% Refund Program offers up to six IVF cycles for one flat fee — with a full refund if treatment is not successful. Shady Grove Fertility was among the first fertility practices in the country to offer this kind of program, and the promise is straightforward: grow a family, or get a full refund.

The flat fee covers SGF services across the covered cycles, including fresh and frozen embryo transfers using embryos created within the program and cryopreservation of extra embryos. Medications and certain outside services — such as genetic testing performed by a third-party lab — are not included. Eligibility is based on age, ovarian function, uterine function, and sperm function. A separate Shared Risk option exists specifically for frozen embryo transfers.

If treatment is successful, the program concludes at delivery. If it isn't — or if a patient chooses to step away at any point — the fee is refunded in full. Some exclusions apply, and a Financial Educator can walk through the details.

Manageable Financing

SGF partners with CapexMD to offer flexible financing for the costs of fertility care.

Shared Help Discount

For patients with little to no insurance coverage and limited financial resources, the Shared Help Discount offers reduced pricing on testing and treatment. Patients with a combined gross household income of $95,000 or less may qualify. A Financial Educator can confirm current eligibility details.

Single Cycle IVF Program

The Single Cycle IVF Program offers a flat fee covering one complete IVF cycle — including monitoring, egg retrieval, and all related SGF lab fees. From there, the choice to freeze all embryos or proceed with a fresh embryo transfer is made with the care team. There are no eligibility requirements for this program.

Multi-Cycle Discount Program

The Multi-Cycle Discount bundles care into one flat fee covering up to two IVF cycles, cycle monitoring, cryopreservation, and fresh and frozen embryo transfers using embryos created within the program. Patients typically save at least 40 percent compared to paying for each cycle individually.

Military Discount

Active and reservist military members receive 15 percent off self-pay services. Veterans with service-related fertility injuries receive 25 percent off, complementing VA care.

Additional Resources

Discounted medications are available through SGF's Preferred Pharmacy Partners and pharmaceutical discount programs. Grants are also available — including the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation grant for family-building, and the Savannah Grant and Dr. Stephen Greenhouse Grant, which are exclusive to SGF IVF patients. Clinical trials may offer reduced or no-cost access to emerging treatments depending on location.

A Financial Educator is available to answer questions, review insurance coverage, and help find the right path forward before treatment begins.
